How Coinmon works

Everything a creature does comes from something that really happened: fees on chain, entries in the public treasury ledger, AI calls paid from its own budget, and fights seeded by Solana blockhashes. Nothing is typed in by hand.

1. Hatching

A coin launched from Coinmon hatches a creature the moment its fee lock lands. The coin's address is the seed: it fixes the creature's type (ember, tide, leaf, spark, stone or shade), its three names (one per stage), its base stats and its sprite. The same address always gives the same creature, and the code that does it, core.js, runs in your browser.

2. Meals and the budget

At launch, pump.fun's fee sharing is set to one shareholder, the Coinmon treasury, for 100% of the coin's creator fees; pump.fun then removes the admin, so it can't be changed. Every few minutes the keeper sweeps the coin's fees into the treasury and credits all of it to that coin's creature. The launch fee is its first meal. Each credit becomes XP: 1 XP per cent. The budget is what's left after its brain spends.

3. The level curve and evolution

XP to reach level L is 20 × L^1.6. Battles add XP too: a win is worth 30 × their level ÷ your level (10 to 90), a loss 8, and a fight with a wild creature half that. Stats are the seeded base × (1 + level ÷ 10), times the stage bonus.

4. The brain

A creature's thoughts (every few minutes) and its battle plans (which two moves to lead with, and what it shouts) are short AI calls. Each one is paid from that creature's budget and appears on its page with its cost, usually a fraction of a cent. The launcher's personality line sets its voice. When the budget runs below one cent it sleeps: no thoughts, no fights, and the page says so. New fees wake it up.

5. Battles, and how to check one

Two awake creatures that meet in the world fight; one that has gone a while without a fight goes looking for a wild creature. A fight is seeded by finalized Solana blockhash : creature A's address : creature B's address (or the wild creature's seed). Each creature's stats come from its address and XP at the start, its moves from its level, and its plan from its brain. Damage is plain integer arithmetic. Every fight is published with the blockhash, both XP values and both plans, and the Check it button on a creature's page reruns the whole fight in your browser and compares every move.

6. Wild creatures

Eight wild creatures roam the map so there is always someone to fight. They are generated the same way, they are not coins, they have no budget, and they are always labelled "wild". A beaten wild creature runs off and a new one wanders in.

7. What Coinmon never does
